Outline of GHG Mitigation Activity

The advanced digestion system (Biosaver™ TK) will be introduced in a natural rubber factory for its wastewater treatment, and as the pretreatment of the wastewater aerobic process. The current activated sludge process needs an aeration system which consumes large amounts of electricity. The introduction of the advanced digestion system as the wastewater pretreatment will reduce the electricity consumptions for the aeration system.
In addition, the advanced digestion system is capable of recovering methane (CH4) gas efficiently from the low concentration organic wastewater (CODcr concentration is 500 – 5,000 mg/L).

Expected GHG Emission Reductions

3,325tCO2/yr
← (Light oil reduction in wastewater treatment process
+ Light oil reduction by biogas generation)
x Light oil CO2 emission factor
= (1,054kL+184kL) x 2.68tCO2/kL
