MOEJ and GEC host Seminar on the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) Implementation in Indonesia 2019
Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ) and Global Environment Centre Foundation (GEC) in collaboration with Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs of Indonesia and Indonesia JCM Secretariat will jointly organize “Seminar on the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM*1) Implementation in Indonesia 2019” on 21 October 2019 at Fairmont Jakarta, Indonesia.
Government of Japan is promoting the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM), and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at COP21 announced, ”Japan will, while lowering burdens of those countries, promote diffusion of advanced low carbon technologies particularly through implementation of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM).”

During the seminar, individual meetings will be arranged between the companies that are considering implementing low carbon or zero emission technologies as JCM Model Projects, and the companies that can provide relevant technologies. From this year, interested attendees can also use the new online match-making platform, “JCM Global Match” to arrange these meetings with potential Japanese counterparts prior to the seminar. With this new platform, those interested in the JCM can now seek potential project partners and continue to discuss your project, or search for companies that meet your interests. During the seminar, GEC and Indonesia JCM Secretariat will set up tables for individual consultation with participants who would like to ask questions related to JCM and Financing Programme for JCM. |

The purpose of this model project is to financially support the implementation of projects which reduce GHG emissions by utilizing leading
