Outline of GHG Mitigation Activity

Air pollution due to coal stoves in Ger district of Ulaanbaatar affects public health seriously and CO2 emission accelerates climate change. Distributed heat supply system will be introduced to Ger district. Air pollution and CO2 emission will be reduced because the system uses mixture coal and solid biomass fuel. Solid biomass fuel consists of agricultural manure and sludge from a sewage treatment plant of the city.

Expected GHG Emission Reductions

3,760  tCO2/year
Reference CO2 emissions: 3,760 tCO2/year
subbituminous coal reduced (2,174 t)
Project CO2 emissions: 0 tCO2/year
