This project installs a turbine, a generator, control system and auxiliary equipment at 5MW run-of-river hydro power plant (Kanzy 3 power station) constructed in Bengkulu Province.
The electricity generated by this project is sold to PLN, a state-run electric power company. It substitutes grid power by renewable energy and contributes to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction.
The Kaplan turbine equipped in this project has variable blade angles in both runner vanes and guide vanes and can keep high efficiency over a wide flow range.
This project is expected to sell 32.3GWh annually, and contribute to the spread of renewable energy in Indonesia.
