Under the Geothermal Power Generation Project financed by ADB, the project will develop the 2nd unit of the Patuha geothermal power plant in West Java. With the grant additional financing from JFJCM, the project will introduce advanced low-carbon technologies to improve power generation efficiency and reduce performance degradation of the plant. The technologies to be adopted by the plant are as follows:
– Anomaly predictive diagnosis using IoT and AI technologies
– Highly efficient steam turbine design
– Direct drive motor for cooling tower fans
– Hybrid-type cooling tower fill
– Monitoring of the temperature distribution inside cooling towers using optical fibers
