Outline of GHG Mitigation Activity

As a part of Southwest Transmission Grid Expansion Project financed by ADB, this subproject is supported by JFJCM and aims to introduce energy efficient transmission lines between Barisal and Gopalganj. The proposed technology is high-temperature low-sag (HTLS) conductors that can reduce transmission losses, resulting CO2 emission reductions. The HTLS conductors are expected to reduce 22% of transmission losses compared to conventional conductors.

Expected GHG Emission Reductions

23,000 tCO2-eq./year
