Outline of GHG Mitigation Activity
The project installs an 11.3MW (9.04MW + 2.26MW) run-of-river mini hydro power plant systems with Horizontal Francis Turbines in Tumauini Municipality.
The electricity generated by the hydro power plant is sold to a power distribution company. The Project contributes to Philippine’s target to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emission by replacing grid power with renewable energy. This project also contributes to strengthening the power supply and developing the industries in the region.
