Outline of GHG Mitigation Activity

The study targets irrigation facilities which are managed by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Hanoi City and Bac Ninh Province.
 The study covers total 34 pumps: 26 pumps which are 3,500m3/h and 75 kW each, and 8 pumps which are 3,900m3/h and 90kW each. By introducing high efficiency pumps which are produced by Ebara Corporation in irrigation system electricity consumption and GHG emissions could be reduced. It would save approximately 30-60,000kWh per year per

Expected GHG Emission Reductions

152 tCO2/year
Calculation
 Emission Reductions = Reference Emissions – Project Emissions
152 = 1,505 1,353 (tCO2/year)

Other Factors
 Grid emission factor for project:0.5408 tCO2/MWh
 Electricity consumption of high efficiency pumps: 63-72 kW
 Number of renewal pumps: 34 pumps
Annual operation hours: 1,000-1,500 hours
