Outline of GHG Mitigation Activity
- In Vietnam, there is no regulation for high GWP F-gas collection and destruction as for now, therefore F-gas filled in air-conditioning, refrigeration and car is finally released to the atmosphere. Dissemination of air-conditioning, refrigeration and car in Vietnam will cause serious environmental problem in the future.

In this model project, demonstration project for collection and destruction of F-gas aiming to JCM formulation will be implemented by coincide with scheme development with MONRE and capacity building by Japanese experts.

Dedicated destruction system will be placed in local industry-waste treatment factory.

- Reference scenario
GHG emission from F-gas emitters such as air-conditioning and refrigeration manufacturing factories, air-conditioning and refrigeration service providers, and car dismantling factories will be continued.

By collecting F-gas from emitters above and destroying with dedicated system, F-gas emission to the atmosphere will be prevented.
