Outline of GHG Mitigation Activity

This project introduces a 66.8MW ground-mounted solar power system with a 15MWh storage battery facility in Savannakhet Province.

Electricity generated by the solar system is sold to the state-owned power company (EDL). A part of electricity generated during daytime is stored in the battery and supplied to the grid during evening peak demand periods.

This project reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by replacing part of the electricity from the fossil fuel-derived grid power with renewable energy and contributes to stabilization of power supply in the country.
