Outline of GHG Mitigation Activity
In Tuyen Quang Province, a 50 MW biomass power generation project is to generate power by burning wood residues such as scrap wood generated from lumber processing plants in the surrounding area. The electricity is sold to the Vietnam Electricity to replace the grid power source and to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
This project also contributes to achieve the conditional NDC through the bilateral cooperation by 2030 compared to BAU.
