Ministry of the Environment (MOE), Japan, announced a new project selected for Subsidy Programme for the JCM Facility Introduction for FY2025 to FY2027 (Second Round).
Following the decision on issuance of credits made at the Seventh Meeting of the Joint Committee of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) between the Kingdom of Thailand and Japan held on October 30, 2025, both governments completed the first international transfer of mitigation outcomes for JCM credits.

The 2nd Joint Committee of the Joint Crediting Mechanism between the Philippines and Japan was held online. Outcomes of the JC include adoption of revised JCM Rules and Guidelines and JCM Guidelines for REDD-plus and Afforestation/Reforestation, no objection to Project Idea Note, exemption of PIN process for existing 22 projects and project registration.
A new version of the “JCM Project Idea Note Form” is introduced from November 1, 2025 in Bangladesh, Georgia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Papua New Guinea, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Tunisia and Uzbekistan.
