Outline of GHG Mitigation Activity

This project reduces fossil fuel derived greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by replacing compressed natural gas, used for boilers and power generators at factories in West Java, with biogas produced from methane which is collected from the cow manure at a cattle farm.

The methane capture also reduces emission of GHG.

Expected GHG Emission Reductions

17,233 tCO2-eq./year

= Reference CO2 emissions [tCO2/year]
 –  Project CO2 emissions [tCO2/year]

・ Reference CO2 emissions [tCO2/year]
= CH₄ emission from caw manure [tCO2/year]
  + Natural Gas emission [tCO2/year]
・ Project CO2 emissions [tCO2/year]
= CO2 emission by on-site consumption of fossil fuel for operating a biogas production facility [tCO2/year]
