On 26 August 2025, the Cabinet of Thailand approved the International Carbon Credit Guideline, which specifies the types and characteristics of eligible projects under international carbon market mechanism, as well as the procedures for project authorization and the transfer of mitigation outcomes achieved in Thailand.

The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) of Japan, together with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (CMEA) and the Ministry of Environment (KLH) of the Republic of Indonesia, will host a business forum titled: “Forum on Promoting Business Engagement and Matching through the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) to Expand Indonesia’s Carbon Market”, in Jakarta on August 21, 2025.
