Outline of GHG Mitigation Activity

Small-scale logging and agricultural activities by local communities and large-scale conversion of forest into industrial agricultural land have been major deforestation drivers in the Prey Long Area and Seima Area. The target project aims to reduce deforestation by law enforcement (patrolling the forest against illegal activities), community engagement and livelihood improvement (involvement in the forest patrol and development of alternative means of earning a living). As a result of the study, the Prey Long Area was selected as a target project site for registering to JCM.
