Outline of GHG Mitigation Activity

The project will set up the source separation, a collection system of organic waste, and a anaerobic digestion facility within Binh Dien Wholesale Market.
Methane (CH4) from anaerobic digestion would be utilised for heat and power generation, which will then be supplied to the wholesale market. The residual waste from the digestion will be composted, and the compost will be distributed to the nearby farmers.

Draft JCM Methodology

CDM methodology AMS-III.AO "Methane recovery though controlled anaerobic digestion" will be modified, and conditions of high-efficiency treatment technology and quality control for organic waste to be inputted to the anaerobic digester should be set as 'eligibility criteria.'
