Outline of GHG Mitigation Activity

The project will set up the source separation, a collection system of organic waste, and a anaerobic digestion facility within Binh Dien Wholesale Market.
Methane (CH4) from anaerobic digestion would be utilised for heat and power generation, which will then be supplied to the wholesale market. The residual waste from the digestion will be composted, and the compost will be distributed to the nearby farmers.

Expected GHG Emission Reductions

3,281tCO2/yr
← (1) he amount of organic waste avoided to be landfilled
← (2) the amount of replaced grid electricity and fossil fuel by electricity and heat generated by cogeneration system fueled by methane recovered from the anaerobic digester.
