    A second workshop was held aimed at summarizing the surveys of the "Ho Chi Minh City-Osaka City Cooperation Project for Developing Low Carbon City", which started in fiscal year 2013, with a larger number of people.

    The second workshop included approximately 50 participants from Japan including Mr. Kotaro Kawamata, Director, International Cooperation Office, Global Environment Bureau, Ministry of the Environment; Mr. Tetsuo Minoda, Director of Comprehensive Facilities Division, Osaka City Environment Bureau; and from approximately 60 participants from Vietnam including Mr. Dao Anh Kiet, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Natural Resources and Environment, as well as members from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, Ho Chi Minh City Architectural Planning Department and others for a total of over 100 participants, which indicated high interest in this project.
    Mr. Kawamata made a presentation on Japan's support and concrete action for the realization of low carbon societies in developing countries. Next Ms. Linh (HCMC) made a presentation on plans and subjects of Green Growth and Low Carbon Development in HCMC and Mr. Sazaki (Osaka City) gave a presentation on the support for developing low carbon city in HCMC mainly centering on flood measures. Then, the report of JCM feasibility study project was made by operators. Questions and opinions were received from the participants on expansion and improvement of the project. Through this work shop, it was confirmed that both cities pushed forward ongoing cooperation for deciding Climate Change Action Plan in HCMC.
